This is a concept sketch I did for the main character for my (hopefully someday to be) webcomic. It's a couple years old at this point, but I'm still proud of it. I think it took about four hours total to complete.

Thanks! I really didn't use anything special - Just a regular old pencil. I drew the character first, then found an image of a forest and stuck it under the drawing and laid them on a lightbox so I could see through it to trace. I then shaded in the shapes of the trees and branches randomly here and there. I was actually surprised the trees came out as well as it did, because I was having a lot of trouble figuring out how to do them. Glad you like it!

Wow! Thanks everyone! Your comments make me smile. ^_^ Originally, her outfit was inspired by the character Nel from the video game Star Ocean III, however, since drawing this picture in 2005 I've decided that it was a little TOO similar and her outfit has changed a bit, though it still has retained a similar style overall. I gotta draw a new one!
